Learn Simply put, we must learn before we can act. To that end, the 2011 conference will address eight critical issues facing society today: Genomics: Game Changer for Health Care, Energy: Strategies for the Future, Breakthrough Ideas for Education, Social Entrepreneurs for Success, Women and Leadership, The Arts: New Answers in Challenging Times, Understanding Islam. Forty world-class thought leaders, experts in these areas, will speak on relevant topics and present one or two actionable ideas that could lead to solutions. Nationally recognized media personalities will be invited to moderate each of these sessions and summarize the presentations to highlight possible outcomes.     In addition to the annual Imagine Solutions Conference, the following learning opportunities exist:    Post-conference seminars and salons on single-interest topics Information about topics of interest disseminated through Imagine Solutions' Web site  Connect The annual conference is the springboard for action. Attendees make connections that  lead to online conversations with speakers and other conference attendees through a social network. IS’s social networking portal will enable involvement via Webinars, calendars and links to our Speaker's Web sites. Act I.D.E.A. INITIATIVES Following the sucess of the inaugural conference, a motivated membership completed on-line surveys indicating what social issue initiatives they would most be inspired to work on in teams. Nine teams formed around four social issue initiatives. Mission statements and plans of action have been created for implementation over the course of the year.
