Marcia McNutt, Ph.D., is CEO of the National Academy of Sciences, a society of distinguished scholars and Nobel laureates advising the nation on public policy decisions in science and technology. McNutt served as Director of the Joint Program in Oceanography and Applied Ocean Science and Engineering, a cooperative effort of MIT and the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution.
