Norman R. Augustine is the retired chairman and CEO of the Lockheed Martin Corporation, the nation’s largest contractor, a former undersecretary of the Army, and a leader in technology. He currently serves as a member of the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Advisory Council. Among Augustine’s many honors are the National Medal of Technology and the U.S. Department of Defense’s highest civilian award. Augustine is the author of three books, which include Augustine’s Travels, The Defense Revolution, and Augustine’s Laws. He is an avid outdoors enthusiast who has trekked extensively around the world; he has even stood on both poles of the Earth.
